7) Comment function

As part of the comment function on this website, in addition to your comment, details of when the comment was created and the commentator name you have chosen will be saved and published on this website. Your IP address will also be logged and stored. The IP address is stored for security reasons and in the event that the person concerned violates the rights of third parties or posts illegal content by posting a comment. We need your e-mail address in order to contact you if a third party should object to your published content as unlawful. The legal basis for the storage of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR. We reserve the right to delete comments if they are objected to as unlawful by third parties.

8) Use of customer data for direct advertising

8.1 Registration for our e-mail newsletter

If you register for our e-mail newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of further data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will only send you an e-mail newsletter if you have expressly confirmed to us that you consent to receiving the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation e-mail asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter in future by clicking on a corresponding link.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later date. The data collected by us when you register for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of advertising by means of the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. Once you have cancelled your subscription, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter mailing list immediately, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

8.2 Sending the e-mail newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services to those already purchased from our range by e-mail. In accordance with Section 7 (3) UWG, we do not need to obtain separate consent from you for this. In this respect, data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If you have initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by sending a message to the controller named at the beginning. You will only incur transmission costs for this in accordance with the basic rates. After receipt of your objection, the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes will be discontinued immediately.

8.3 Newsletter dispatch via ActiveCampaign

Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider ActiveCampaign, LLC, 150 N. Michigan Ave Suite 1230, Chicago, IL, US, USA (“ActiveCampaign”), to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. email address) is stored on ActiveCampaign’s servers in the USA.

ActiveCampaign uses this information to send and statistically analyse the newsletter on our behalf. For the analysis, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files that are stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. Conversion tracking can also be used to analyse whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymised form and is not linked to your other personal data; direct personal identification is excluded. This data is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you wish to object to data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with ActiveCampaign, in which we oblige ActiveCampaign to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

You can view ActiveCampaign’s privacy policy here: https://www.activecampaign.com/privacy-policy

8.4 Mailjet

Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider Mailjet (Mailjet GmbH, c/o Workrepublic, Berliner Allee 26, 40212 Düsseldorf), to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. email address) is stored on Mailjet’s servers in the EU.

Mailjet uses this information to send and statistically analyse the newsletter on our behalf. For evaluation purposes, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Furthermore, Mailjet may use this data itself in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of its own legitimate interest in the needs-based design and optimisation of the service and for market research purposes, for example to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, Mailjet does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass them on to third parties.

We have concluded an order processing contract with Mailjet, in which we oblige Mailjet to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

You can view Mailjet’s data protection provisions here: https://www.mailjet.de/privacy-policy/

8.5 Advertising by letter post

On the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct advertising, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and – if we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business name in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and to use them to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post.

You can object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller.

9) Data processing for order processing

In order to process your order, we work together with the following service provider(s), who support us in whole or in part in the fulfilment of concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transmitted to these service providers in accordance with the following information.

The personal data collected by us will be passed on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as part of the contract processing, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. We pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institution within the scope of payment processing, insofar as this is necessary for payment processing. If payment service providers are used, we will inform you of this explicitly below. The legal basis for the transfer of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

10) Contact for the review reminder

Own review reminder (not sent by a customer review system)
We use your email address as a one-off reminder to submit a review of your order for the review system we use, provided that you have given us your express consent to do so during or after your order in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the data controller.

11) Use of rating and seal of approval graphics

Provenexpert-Widget

We use the Provenexpert seal on our website, a widget from Expert Systems AG, Quedlinburger Straße 1, 10589 Berlin (“Provenexpert”). When you visit our website, Provenexpert servers load dynamic content (current rating of the shop, certificate, etc.) into the widget. Information about the website you previously visited, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, the browser type used, the operating system you are using and the requesting provider (referrer data) may be transmitted to the Provenexpert servers. If this also includes personal data, the processing is based on our overriding legitimate interest in optimising our offer in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR.
Further information on data protection at Provenexpert can be found at: https://www.provenexpert.com/de-de/datenschutzbestimmungen/

12) Use of social media: Videos

Use of YouTube videos

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider “YouTube”, which belongs to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, only initiates the storage of user information when the video(s) is/are played. If the playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider “YouTube” uses cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to information from “YouTube”, these are used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account when you click on a video. If you do not wish to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analyzes them. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of Google’s legitimate interests in the display of personalized advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. When using YouTube, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.
Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played, a connection to the Google network is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations without our influence.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the YouTube terms of use at https://www.youtube.com/static?template=terms and in Google’s privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Insofar as legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.

13) Online-Marketing

13.1Facebook pixel for the creation of custom audiences (with cookie consent tool)
The so-called “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”), is used within our online offering.
If a user clicks on an advert placed by us that is displayed on Facebook, an addition is added to the URL of our linked page by Facebook Pixel. If our site allows data to be shared with Facebook via pixels, this URL parameter is written to the user’s browser via a cookie, which our linked site sets itself. This cookie is then read by Facebook Pixel and enables the data to be forwarded to Facebook.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of adverts (so-called “Facebook ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not annoying. This also allows us to analyse the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).
The data collected is anonymous to us, so it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of users.

However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data can enable Facebook and its partners to place adverts on and off Facebook.

The data processing associated with the use of the Facebook pixel is only carried out with your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, remove the tick next to the setting for the “Facebook Pixel” in the “Cookie Consent Tool” integrated on the website.

13.2 Use of Google Ads conversion tracking

This website uses the online advertising programme “Google Ads” and, as part of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). We use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising material (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. Our aim is to show you adverts that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an Ads advert placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device. These cookies generally lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their advert and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under the keyword “User settings”. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads on the basis of our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As part of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

You can find more information about Google’s privacy policy at the following Internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from Google available at the following link
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website or alternatively follow the option described above to make an objection.

13.3 Google Marketing Platform

This website uses the online marketing tool Google Marketing Platform of the operator Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“GMP”).

GMP uses cookies to display adverts that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports or to prevent a user from seeing the same adverts more than once. Google uses a cookie ID to record which adverts are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed more than once. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

In addition, GMP can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions that are related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, if a user sees a GMP advert and later visits the advertiser’s website using the same browser and makes a purchase via this website. According to Google, GMP cookies do not contain any personal information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge as follows: By integrating GMP, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advert from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider will find out your IP address and store it. When using GMP, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

If you wish to object to participation in this tracking process, you can deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com (see https://www.google.de/settings/ads), whereby this setting will be deleted if you deactivate your cookies. Alternatively, you can obtain information about the setting of cookies from the Digital Advertising Alliance at the Internet address www.aboutads.info and make your desired settings. Finally, you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

You can find more information about GMP by Google’s privacy policy at the following Internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the option described above for making an objection.

13.4 LinkedIn Insight

This website uses the retargeting and conversion tool of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, with the help of which visitors to this website can be shown personalised advertisements on the LinkedIn platform.
For this purpose, a cookie, a small text file, is set on the browser of your end device when you visit our website, which loses its validity after 120 days. If the user visits certain pages of this website and is logged into their LinkedIn account at the same time, a connection is established to LinkedIn’s servers, which can be used to display interest-based advertising on the platform. At the same time, the cookie enables the creation of anonymous reports on the performance of adverts on LinkedIn and information on website interaction, which are provided to us and LinkedIn.
Adverts are not displayed and statistical reports are not generated if the user is not logged into their LinkedIn account at the same time as visiting this website.
The information collected with the help of the cookie never allows personal identification of the respective user.
The information is transmitted in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in targeted advertising and the statistical evaluation of the success of product ads on LinkedIn and thus serves to optimise our online offering.

You can deactivate the LinkedIn Insight tool and the display of interest-based advertising on LinkedIn by setting an opt-out cookie at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out

This opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click on the above link again.

You can find more information about LinkedIn’s privacy policy at the following Internet address: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of revocation, please follow the option described above for making an objection.

13.5 LinkedIn Marketing Solutions

We use “LinkedIn Marketing Solutions” on our website, a service provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter “LinkedIn”). This makes it possible to refer visitors to our website to further content of our own, which is likely to correspond to the respective user interest, based on their usage behaviour on the LinkedIn social network. This content is displayed on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of previous user behaviour, but no personal data is stored. Cookies, i.e. small text files, are stored on your computer or mobile device for this interest-based content determination in order to collect pseudonymised data about your surfing behaviour and thus adapt the content individually to the stored information.

If the information collected and evaluated has a personal reference, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in displaying personalised page content and in market research.
The information can be assigned to the person of the user with the help of further information that LinkedIn has stored about the user, e.g. due to the ownership of an account on the social network “LinkedIn”. LinkedIn uses an algorithm to analyse surfing behaviour and can then display targeted product recommendations as personalised advertising banners on the user’s LinkedIn account. LinkedIn may also combine the information collected via the cookies with other information that LinkedIn has collected via other websites and/or in connection with the use of the social network “LinkedIn” and thus create pseudonymised user profiles. Under no circumstances, however, can the information collected be used to personally identify visitors to this website.
You can prevent the collection of the aforementioned information by LinkedIn by setting an opt-out cookie on one of the websites linked below:

https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls
Insofar as legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” integrated on this website.
Further information on LinkedIn’s privacy policy can be found on the following website: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

14) Web analysis services

14.1 Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your end device and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there; it may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”, which ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes direct personal reference. This extension means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google Analytics also enables the creation of statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of website visitors based on an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the use of third-party information via a special function, the so-called “demographic characteristics”. This allows the definition and differentiation of user groups of the website for the purpose of target group-optimised marketing measures. However, data records collected via the “demographic characteristics” cannot be assigned to a specific person.
All processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for reading information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit to our website.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website. We have concluded an order processing contract with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our website visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.
For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on so-called standard data protection clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection in the USA.
Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de

14.2  Mouseflow
This website uses Mouseflow, a web analysis tool from Mouseflow ApS, Flaesketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark, to record randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymised IP addresses). This creates a log of mouse movements and clicks with the intention of randomly analysing individual website visits and deriving potential improvements for the website. The information is not personalised and is not passed on. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can deactivate this on all websites that use Mouseflow by clicking on the following link: www.mouseflow.de/opt-out/.
